A few hours in Zagreb

Last weekend (the 12th) I went to Zagreb to meet up with Allie (from Pula) and Greg. (from Zagreb) Allie and I walked around Zagreb for a bit before meeting Greg at the bus station and heading to Varaždin. Greg and Allie spent the weekend in Varaždin.

Here are some pictures from the few hours I spent in Zagreb. It was cold and raining so we didn't' spend too much time outdoors.

A nativity seen created from large, Lego like, blocks.

Temporary Christmas toy shop set up in the main square. Lego like holiday creatures outside.

The weather wasn't good and we were in need of something sweet so we headed to Vincek!

The holiday section of the menu. Quite fancy!

Allie with our delicious treats!

Me with the sweets. We ordered two different desserts and two forks so we could sample them both! So good.

A street in Zagreb decorated with hearts for Christmas. The covered booths were set up for Christmas but only a few vendors were out selling in the rain.

Hearts above a market. There were several small markets on side streets but not too many of them were occupied.

Giant Christmas tree in the main square.

Me standing beside the Christmas tree in the rain.

Coca Cola trucks in the main square.
